If wishes and dreams came true
What would we wish for the Red and Blue?
To win every match in which we play
And be unbeatable, both home and away

We would have a 60,000 all seater ground
And the noise from the East Bank would likely sound
Like a mighty roar from Almighty God
Who, incidentally, would be part of our squad!

Chairman Karl would light cigars with £50 notes
Whilst Sky TV hounded him for quotes
None of our supporters would show any nerves
‘Cause we could win the FA Cup with our reserves

Out from the depths of Non League we would climb
They would award us the Premiership Title for “All Time”
No team against us could surely stand
We would be, simply, the best in the land

But we don’t support this fantasy side
And I remember when my team died
Through spending money on the never never
Our club could have gone……. forever

Do you remember the days back in ‘92
At the Rec, there was no team in Red and Blue
Do you remember when we had no side to support?
Do you remember when it all ended up in court?

Never again should we play fast and loose
Never again should we make an excuse
To go out with cap in hand to borrow
We must make sure Aldershot will be here tomorrow

So maybe we will lose a good player or two
And wait a long time for somebody new
And whilst our legacy we try and preserve
We won’t always get what we deserve

But one day our time will come
And it will be our turn for a day in the sun
Whilst other teams may go to the wall
The Shots will be still here, standing tall

It may well take a little bit longer
Than those other teams that are a little bit stronger
To make our comeback all complete
But that will only make it all the more sweet

So how about stopping all the moaning
The complaining, the bitching and the groaning
Unite together, make a stand
And together we can make Aldershot the best fans in the land
