So we've got to wait for another 6 months before the kit is available?

Perhaps the updated Tool will have a better online shop. If it does, no doubt it will be the wrong type/size/colour for most people.

Still people complaining without reading announcements. Can't have an online shop during website refurbishment.

Both the website update and the new sponsors and thus new kit have been in the offing for a very long time. Neither are an overnight decision. A bit of joined up thinking to launch would have helped. The club always need money so the quicker and easier it is to buy their products the better for them. We apparently have people with business acumen running the club who perhaps should have planned this better.

This is intended very much as constructive criticism not a dig at those band of dedicated people who actually have to run our club.

In an ideal world, yes - and I'm sure that the next time the club "launch" a new strip, it will be done so much better.

I think the trouble has come about by everything changing at the same time from behind the scenes, to the shop front, but from what I have seen, it will be worth it.

The new website could have "launched" a while ago, but the club are doing their best to make sure it is "right" and has been update as far as possible so as it looks like the professional "tool" (no pun intended!) that it shoud be.

I'm sure it won't be right in some peoples eyes - it never is, but having had the chance to play around with it, in my (limited) opinion, it is far better than other things that are out there and it is worth the club holding back until it is as ready as it can be.

I'm sure in an ideal world, the club would love to have a great "Shots Superstore" that we can all fit in, but as with everything at our level, things take time. I'm just happy the club are making progress in these areas as we all agree, they're long overdue!

Replica Kit: Prices and Dates

Postby Stephen Aspinall » Sat Jul 24, 2010 1:58 pm

I think what frustrates people is that they see things that your everyday supporter won't use week to week having money spent on it.

It's no secret that IMO we should have had a supporters bar and decent club shop setup years ago.

The problem is the club approach things half heartedly, realise it doesn't work and then go for another idea and once again do it half heartedly and so the cycle goes on.

I think it would be a good idea to put a picture of the home and away kits on the website.
When new kits have been introduced in the past they have had a proper launch with players or the ladies team photographed in them.

I bought that black kit yesterday, and I think its great. Normally, with replica football shirts, you only ever tend to wear them when going to watch or play football. However, the black kit actually looks quite smart.

The home kit looks great too, very tempted to buy that aswell.
