Re: This week
What’s refreshing is come pre season training we have a core of the squad for day one, no drip down effect, or pre season friendlies full of trialist’s. We might not love every member of the squad but for once it feels a professional approach to the new season.

Wow! Great work mark. Effiong and Amartey will cause all sorts of problems.

Re: This week
Hats off to Mark and all involved in the signings and the announcements this evening. I am really impressed, and actually pretty confident that Mark will be able to create something quite special from this squad - not least because he has coached a number of them before. Very much his squad now. Am wanting to hear more now about the vision the coaching team has, including an honest assessment of what the (obvious) two-year cycle should deliver.

Very pleased with the signings here - some strikers who actually score goals which is more than can be said to our recent strikers - hopefully they find their shooting boots for us!
We just need a couple of midfielders and a keeper now in my opinion and should be competitive!

Re: This week
Wow
We have a team that can seriously compete and I have to say I never expected us to get Effiong. Looks like in the insecure times we live in two year contracts have a very high value to the players.
Two year contrscts also give Mark time to build knowing he wont have to start all over again next season.

The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

Time will tell. Let's see how they get on.dougoftheshots wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 9:09 pm so is everyone happy or still got some thing to moan about
Hopefully performances will be much improved than the last four years.

Looks of versatility in this squad be interesting to see how we set up formation wise I’d imagine he’ll ditch the 5 2 2 1?

Re: This week
Pleased that we have the core of a team already signed. We needed forwards and we now have some forwards. Well done Mark. Assume Harry P will be moving on?
