Christ, that was tense!

Almost as importantly, Torquay won which keeps their hopes of avoiding relegation alive. They'll head to Dover next Saturday knowing it's a must-win game for them.

Felt Kanu only got the 2nd yellow because their player came out worse in the tackle. If anything I thought it was more a foul on kanu. His first yellow for simulation if he did dive was obviously deserved. No way was Jakey Gallagher going to dive though a lovely move opened Dover right up and drew the panicked lunge. Well deserved win, Dover played for a draw and it cost them.

We're on our way!!!!

2 more draws for Dagenham and they could end up not in the play offs.

They're not happy.... from the Dover forum:

AND........ALDERSHOT you should be ashamed of yourselves to £19 and then ask then to p@@s in a portaloo. Terrible!!!!!if you do get up and not the football league your facilities might need a rethink.

The sitter they missed in the last few seconds could cost them.

Not the best game, but decent result.
I think young Idris is becoming a marked man.
If today's Ref didn't see the Pen appeal v Tranmere, he was silly.
He missed some blatant trips on our players, not a homer.

Glad they missed, Miller clearly handled the ball to bring it down in the first place.

Moaning about cost is just bitter especially when there are other teams that charge more and obviously it would feel like a rip off after watching your team park the bus. having a portaloo for the away end I agree isn't adequate.

Very negative tactics from Dover - they are hardly bottom of the league minnows, so why stick so many men behind the ball? Poetic justice that it backfired on them. East bank at its best today - fantastic atmosphere.

But i do agree that £19 to get in, watching your team play like north ferriby, then having to pee in a portaloo is a bit rough.

My nerves are shot after that. Not the greatest game but a classic nail biter! That Dover miss at the end could be a season-defining moment for them, if they don't make the POs that's the one they will look back on in anger...

Superb effort from the team today against a very solid and well-organised, if rarely threatening, Dover side ... and the mandatory abysmal ref. I thought Cheye and both centre halves were absolutely on their game, Jake and Benny bossed the midfield and Bernie was a pest all game. We missed any bite up from first half, but fair play to Gary for switching it around early - it certainly paid off. Second half was more like a siege and the goal, when it finally came, was well deserved.

I hate it when teams come to the Rec playing for a draw, but I love it when we pick them off!!
