Torquay FA Cup thread

Postby Jimmy Riddle » Sun Oct 08, 2017 8:33 pm

In the likely event we draw, will there be a reply? Will it be more than likely a week Tuesday?

Asking for a friend. He’s asked me to check the nightlife on the english riviera on a Tueaday night? He doesn’t get out often. Could be a night to remember .

Pretty sure a replay would take place, the following Tuesday 17th if required , John. It's only from the First round proper that the Old Bill insist on a weeks notice.
Don't forget we have Sutton at home on the 24th. 8)

This 10 day rule is an absolute load of ********, if you had tranmere v Wrexham in the 4th qualifying round the replay would be 3 days later, but if you had tranmere v Alton in the first rd proper it would be 10 days, incredibly disturbing!

Shame the 2nd round clashes with the Torquay v aldershot league game as I'm off work and birthday weekend, Wigan away in the cup would be ok I suppose!

When u don’t get out often son, it will be fine.

I may need a wing man....

Did I tell u about the time we went to Torquay in the late 80’s with Mark Beeney in goal and Graham Baker running the show in centre mid.....

Easter weekend. Needing a win to stay up. Saturday game. Lots of teenagers there blowing off steam... apparently. People thrown through shop windows, high spirits, Youth growing of age, Scottish and Northeners taking humbramce at youngsters from Hampshire earning good money, Sunday licensing laws( no pub open from 3 -7), cans in a B&b , the older Boys from Sandy Hill standing in awe.......

So I Am told
