When Bobby Barnes went to Swindon we got cash and Steve Berry. Shame we couldn’t have got a Rovers player in this deal.

Shame to see Bernard go, but Good Luck!

How much would we get if we transferred Stenhouse back to Cowdenbeath?

Good luck to Bernard.
As a fan I will always remember him fondly.

The Wadfather should get 25% of transfer fees the club profits from written into his new 5 year contract.

The most important person is the manager.
We need to cement GW at the shots.

I get the feeling after the Kanu , and now the Mensah "undisclosed fees" that we probably got next to sweet FA for both of them, especially when I read that the offer only came in this week for Mensah. Undisclosed fee and no mention of a sell-on clause. Oh well.

The best image of last season was Bernard, Kundai & Idris dancing around on the pitch with so much joy after scoring.
They bought a feelgood factor back, which has not been seen in a long time at the Rec.
Good luck Bernard, you will be always welcome back.

I remember a fee of £140,000 being quoted at the time, as reflected in this:

Yes you could be right. Where did I get 50 grand from. Maybe Bobby Barnes to Swindon.

@ 86/87

Yes, it was 50 grand for Bobby Barnes to Swindon, and Dale Banton to York a few years earlier.

Feel like we did well to keep hold for Bernard for 18 months - I thought he’d probably go in the summer but he re-signed very quickly as he was obviously enjoying his football. I’m glad he’s joined Rovers as they’re a decent club and he should be looked at as an immediate first team prospect, no messing around with ‘development squads’.
I notice that in recent times Exeter have re-signed several of their players from 2008-10 period (Harley, Jones, Seabourne). Maybe we’ll re-assemble the Golden Triangle of Kanu-Benyu-Mensah in about 2027?

Best wishes in your future career Bernie & thanks for efforts. I don't pay too much attention to this "undisclosed fee " thing, as a fan it's irrelevant to me. Providing any money made is put to good use, that's fine by me.

Gutted he has gone but for me a very positive move for him. Going to a team he is capable of shining in and going to play in front of a very passionate fan base. Good club Bristol Rovers, Good luck to Bernie and them.
