Coca Cola was originally green.
And so was Father Christmas's outfit until Cola Cola decided to dress him in red for their adverts

The 57 on Heinz ketchup bottle represents the varieties of pickle the company once had.

Father Christmas's outfit was originally drawn in Medieval times through to the 1800's in three different colours, Green, Light Brown or Red depending on who was drawing him. In the 1930's when Coca Cola decided to use his image to advertise their drink they chose to use the Red. The advertising campaign was such a success that everyone pretty much stopped using any other colours and adopted the Red as the recognised colours.

So on that basis you can certainly say that Coca Cola were responsible for the recognition of the colour Red but they didn't create it, The Red and White colours were originally from the common identification of Father Christmas being St Nicholas who was a 4th Century Bishop and wore Red and White Robes. In Holland Father Christmas is still dressed in Robes and not the Red suit that we all know.

Love it or hate it, but Marmite is basically a waste product of the beer brewing process!

The thing that amazes me most about that fact is that anyone still uses Faxes in this day and age

" Not many people know that" is attributable to Michael Caine, but who actually said it?

It’s still the most secure way of sending encrypted data, especially signatures. Don’t expect it to change anytime soon.

There are more atoms in a teaspoon of water, than there are teaspoons of water in The Atlantic Ocean.

If you dig a hole straight through the earth and jump in, you will come out the other side in 42 mins and 12 secs.
