I hope we don’t re sign Rowe and/or Holman!

Osbourne would be a decent addition though :)
Not sure we should touch Osbourne! Seems to have played about an average of ten games a season over the last 8-10 years

God help us if you lot think Holman is the answer to our goal scoring problem. He was an average player at best only slightly above McClure in ability.

What a load of rubbish, he's scored 74 in 135 national league games, last season he was off form but thats because he played deeper for Orient and never settled at Bwood and Orient. In our team with the amount of chances we create he'd be good and with Waddock as well. Sin him up, we nag on about a proven striker at this level and according to some people he isnt.

The most Aldershot thing ever, Delay and contemplate signing Holman but we are perfectly happy to offer a deal to no goal McClure straight away
I reckon McClure will start the season in the position he finished last season so well in. More of an attacking midfielder/inside forward and he'll be a creator rather than striker.

The McClure thing is just bizarre I agree but Holman has never really been the same since he suffered that nasty injury playing for Cheltenham, in fact his goal record has a McClure look about it since.

Just two goals in his last 16 games for Cheltenham, 3 in 9 on loan with Boring Wood and just 1 in 9 at Orient. He looks right up Waddock's street :D
74 goals in 135 National League games
Where do you get those figures from Shot2000?

According to Soccer Base his National League stats are 60 goals in 115 appearances in the Conference / National League.
(24-55 for Braintree, 4-12 for Aldershot, 2-4 for Dover, 14-26 for Woking & 16-18 for Cheltenham)

Holman also assists with a perfect cross. See 50 secs to 1.17 mins in... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRY4lwswX8Y&t=134s

Not mine lol. look at this. The proof is in the pudding regarding Holman's goals per game record v Rendell's at Woking. The same as him - each with 0.54, putting them joint top. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/woking- ... erein/2796

And look how far down the list Brett Williams is!

I think Ward will be replaced by a lower standard keeper, as backup to Cole. Jake is easily good enough to be most teams number one in this league.
