Trains

Shouldn’t be an issue for me but think this info will be useful for many.

More strikes are planned between 12:01 and 23:59 on the following Saturdays...

27th Oct (Gateshead - A)
3rd Nov (Braintree - H)
10th Nov (FA Cup or FA Trophy?)
17th Nov (Salford - A)
24th Nov (Barrow - H)

Shouldn’t affect any games but it’s worth noting they are planning a strike the week leading up to 27 October - which just so happens to be half-term...

Heavens they must really need those extra days off. Because other than that I can’t see how they’ve actually achieved anything with their strikes.

Sorry this is possibly me being stupid and the answer could be obvious but I don’t use trains much. Why shouldn’t any games be affected? :? I’d have thought most, if not all will be :?:

This sounds like a new and more sinister form of train strike. It doesn't target civil service office workers, only decent folk going to football.

I don't use SW trains fortunately but from what my mates who do use them tell me the normal terrible service targets the civil service office workers on a daily basis

I use south western trains every day for work and it's the worst franchise ever known. Soon as they bring back British Rail the better.

It affects people who don’t drive and rely on the bloody useless tossers

Sorry, I meant we don't have any games on the days leading up to 27 October (Monday-Friday) but a lot of people from our area commute on the trains (and in this week might be looking for days out in London etc) and might want to look at alternative travel arrangements for that week.

They should boot out the Strikers and give the jobs to people that want to or need the work.

As long as the busses are running from Manchester airport on the 17th Nov, I'll selfishly say I'll be happy :D

You have to mention "strikers" on every thread don't you?! Does this count towards your countdown?!
