The 100th anniversary of the end of the "Great War" is almost upon us. Here is the story of how the game of football played its part in the "War to end all wars."

Mention is made of Angus Seed who was the first ever Manager of Aldershot FC in 1926.

Strongly on topic, i'd have thought, and containing some remarkable photos - including of men and women footballers. Many thanks for the link.

Would be good if Angus Seed could be remembered on Saturday, the day before the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.
