Ward v Mannion

They both are excellent keepers and will surely perform at a much higher level doing us proud.

If you had to chose one which would it be?

Mine would be Mannion - slightly better decision maker IMO.

Ward scrapes it for me, although was playing behind a much better defence than Mannion has got. Both are very good keepers that’ll go on to have great careers.

Whoever wears the shirt is my favourite. If Mannion signs until the end of the season I'd be happy

Gary Phillips for me. Won us the Hants Cup final at the Dell by the way he pulled everyone together once Neil Champion had been sent off.

Then Ward.

Then Mannion.

Andy Pape last. Or Phil Smith. I never rated Jamie Young actually but he seems to have done alright. Maybe they have a head height rule in Oz.

Young was OK. Would put him on a par with Ruiz as a decent back-up. Smith was truly woeful. Remember when he was given the captaincy the match after conceding eight?

No Nicki Bull, Kiddy Shot?

Can't decide between Lewis & Will and as SW Shot says Will has been playing behind an ever changing defence and has been awfully exposed by the defence going AWOL at times.

For me I would just go for Ward, he showed that he the cojones as well by stepping up to take a penalty in play off game v Ebbsfleet after some senior players didn’t fancy it.

Who would have thought Nick Pope would end up playing in Premier League and England after his spell here, as the general consensus from a lot of supporters is that he was rubbish after the 5 games he played for us even though he was only a young lad!!! I have heard comments from a few about Mannion as well, so we will see how his career develops. Sometimes we need to be a wee bit patience with some young players especially keepers.
