I can't recall a thread begin to go away from the subject matter at such an early stage (3rd post, take a bow, Fuggletim) and then carry on in that direction, leaving said subject matter trailing in its wake. 😆
Indeed Birdy, must be rivaling the infamous, irrelevant and tedious 'Brexit' thread!

Thanks Birdman! 😀 It was a pleasure to take the subject onto something more interesting with an oblique reference to stop/start!😅

And one that you didn't need to join in with but by doing so helped to prolong it and as such, I thank you. 👍

Miami blue with a black vinyl roof! 2 x litre GT Coupe!
Similar to this? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=miami ... IYfEhnBITM:
About right, but a coupe! Ergonomically designed interior with Recaro seats and angled instrumentation which was very advanced for its day! Quite fast too, but not by today's standards although I got 120 MPH out of it on the A3 Thursley bypass once! Never again!😱😱
Mine was a saloon; used it for 3 months of mini cabbing in Woking for Kangaroo Taxis [or was it Boomerang Taxis!], 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, two-way radio. Great money. Never serviced it; then sold it on to a taxi driver in Guildford for about the same that I paid for it. My favourite car so far has been a Frenchie - three rows of seats, hydraulic suspension, automatic, 27mpg absolute max - usually about 22. Those were the days lol. Oh and yes, 120mph easily reached in that - in error, of course, because the ride was so smooth... more like a speedboat.
