Tom Derry - East Thurrock United to Tonbridge Angels. Tom scored twice on his debut against Burgess Hill Town.

Anon e mouse at yesterday's Angels game apparently.

Did the same with us, excellent couple of games and then faded away. James Nesbitt's son in law.
Didn’t someone post on here with an article about him being a top single person on Tinder or something? I think Nesbitt’s daughter is his ex. Remember Nesbitt coming down to the Rec!
I'm sure they did, but I cant remember what they said.

That is correct - Tom did once date James Nesbitt's daughter, but they are no longer together.

Tom had one of the more successful dating profiles on Tinder which resulted in him being included in a magazine article, which as a result earned him the moniker of best looking footballer from his peers.

Living down in West Country now, we have an hour long show on BBC Radio Bristol called 'Having a Gas', which is a weekly programme on Bristol Rovers.

Alex Rodman was the subject of their main interview last night which made interesting listening. He spoke highly of Aldershot and his time here, as we gave him his League debut away at Gillingham, in which he scored. he also spoke glowingly of Dean Holdsworth, who was like a father figure and took on the role of acting as his agent! He said Holdsworth was keen to help him move up, and a move to West Ham was on the cards before he got his illness, which stalled/set back his career

One other Shots related answer was when he was asked.....best players played with and against...
Against he said Berbatov & Owen, in our Carling Cup match.
With......wait for it....he said John Halls! I nearly crashed my car when he said that!

He seems like a really decent bloke actually - speaks very well, and has a degree as he didn't turn pro until 24. He's now studying at Manchester Uni alongside Football for another qualification for a career after retirement.

Keeper Mark Smith marked his return debut to Mark McGhee's Eastbourne Borough with a NLP 'star man' vote for his performance in the 0 - 0 draw at Hampton & Richmond's 'Beveree' ground last Saturday. He was also named in the NLP's National League's North and South's leagues team of the day.
