I didn't realise he ever was a footballer.

Yes. It’s Aldershot Town’s fault that someone hasn’t made it in football..... The fact he wasn’t really any good at it has nothing to do with it. The only person responsible for where I am in life is me. Amazing viewpoint

All at a lower level. Too many other distractions to be a full time player, one look at his Twitter timeline showed where his priorities lay.

If I remember rightly (which I may not!), he didn't really get much of a chance with us. Don't recall him ever having a prolonged run of games in the team

His first spell with us was under Holdsworth, the second, Andy Scott. I remember a HSC game (I think during his 1st spell with us) at The Rec v Farnborough. He hadn’t shown much during the season but I thought that this would be a good opportunity for him to show what he’s about. In all honesty he was disappointing. 2nd to the ball on many occasions, little oomph and pretty inept in front of goal.

Bubb was frustrating, appeared to have the physical attributes and most of the skills but didn't match it with a hunger for goal. Saying we 'destroyed his confidence' is disingenuous, he never quite managed to make the step up to FL/Conference level and this is borne out in his career record.

Bubb was probably never League 2 standard (the division we played in when he was with us). But I do remember how frustrating it was seeing him average a goal every other game for Woking whilst on loan from us. Meanwhile we had Craig Reid rolling around up top for us.

I'd agree with that, and it was also seemed that he was one of a number of players that didn't get on with Holdsworth. That said I remember in his second spell under Andy Scott that he scored a very good solo goal away to Barnet but other that that I fail to remember much else.
