Too soon for a new manager (if they already have one lined up) to effect much change, he would most likely tell them to just go out and express themselves. However their players are more likely to up the effort a bit to try and impress if there is a new boss watching them.

Normally teams wait till we beat them before sacking managers ( if you can't beat Aldershot you're fired) :) Feared for Hessenthaler the other night.
We have also had our fair share of either playing teams in their first game with new manager (dangerous) or manager less with possible new manager in the crowd (maybe less dangerous).
How many times that has happened maybe one even beyond the great Statto, but it's happened a lot.
