Looking at the weather forecast this game is looking like being abandoned.....
Agreed, Stenhouse. Latest forecast I have seen from the Met Office is heavy rain between 10pm and midnight tonight and heavy rain from midday tomorrow continuing for the rest of the day. Throw in the 50mph wind gusts and i will be very surprised if the game is played.
Games at Fylde,Barnet,Barrow and Wrexham already called off tomorrow.

I walk from South Farnborough to the Rec for home games (Takes me about 45 minutes) doing my bit for the environment …. don't fancy a torrent of wind and rain in me face tomorrow. No 1 bus looks favourite, but the Scottishness in me worries about a return bus fare to nothing...….. Advice please.....

Oh! Sorry to hear that. OK, think again. Plan to do something else in Aldershot if the game is off so you won't have a wasted journey. Only thing is ... what? With the best will in the world, you have to say there are not many attractions in dear old Aldershot!

Before long there'll be a piece of research that will "prove" that the amount of CO2 exhaled by our Sten on his 45 minute walk is more than on a 10 mile car journey from South Farnborough and, therefore, more damaging to the environment , after which Emma Thompson will fly in from Australia or LA, (which ever is the further away,) to protest outside Sten's house, and Lewis Hamilton will join her after his F1 race has finished and the10,000 mile flight on his private jet has landed. This could lead to Sten getting a life ban from ever walking to Shot's games again and possible abusive chant's aimed at Sten should we play FGR. I am amazed Sten hasn't considered all this. :o

29 x degrees here in Batangas, Philippines.

Sun is now setting and if I can keep my WiFi working, hope to listen to the game tonight at 23;00!

Hope Stenhouse makes his epic quest and it’s all worthwhile!

Mild with a gathering breeze (!) here, with rain barrelling in from the west, as can be seen on this rainfall radar:

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/wea ... &lat=55.01

The rain is well away from Aldershot at present and the stuff [the blue] heading Aldershot's way is light and scattered, for a time at least. But come 3pm, will the ground be waterlogged? Unlikely, because the yellow stuff is not heavy rain, so here's hoping you'll get to hear the game.

If it goes ahead the score of ATFC 5 Boreham Wood 0 has popped into my head. :?:

Not sure what caused that.

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/fo ... 2020-02-15

Heavy rain to start at mid-day with only 25-30mph wind speed, gusts of double that rate.

Looks like maybe the rain is more of a threat than the wind for a postponement.

"Do not travel unless absolutely necessary" they say.

An Aldershot home game is of course a necessity but trainline.com cannot find any tickets for my journey this morning so perhaps services have been suspended.

Thanks Preston. Sat in a library on the coast waiting for news. Best laid plans may have to be ditched for today but at least I should be home for Norwich v Liverpool on Sky!

That link you have included scorp is for the rain that has already fallen, unless I am using the map incorrectly it doesn't show what is to come
