With the threat of a new virus from pigs surfacing in China, it would be a good time to lock down Swindon now so we are ahead of the curve.
or we (humans) could just stop eating animals...

Corbyn invited convicted so called "volunteers" Quigley and Maclochlainn to parliament two weeks after the Brighton bombing. Very tasteful timing.

The Leicester match IS going ahead on Saturday.

Surely a lockdown shouldn’t allow this. Play it at a nearby safe stadium instead?

I know that the healthy and sensible thing is to go vegetarian but I couldn't do it. I love my meat too much. I am old school. Roast every Sunday.

aye i know, but they're not good for you, not good for the planet and well, pandemics - SARS, Spanish Flu, MURS, CV19, Ebola, Mad Cow Disease, Avian Flu, Salmonela...

stands to reason that this current situation will only get more and more common as the population grows don't you think?

Interesting that they put their relative success down to having time to prepare before the virus hit!

I suppose all through history, the British have have been rubbish at preparing for impending disasters!

Although true I don't even think it is even that.
The now coined 'BARB' countries (Brazil, America, Russia, Britain) are getting worse hit because the their leaders have not taken this seriously (admittedly in the UK's case not until it almost killed him).
Decisions are being made on economic grounds and the leaders decisions are final.
The fact that the UK are opening up HORECA on the back of over 330 deaths in the last two days and one city on an individual lockdown (I assume people in Leicester don't have cars?) makes on lookers shake their heads.
I see the re-opening has been so rushed and the date so stupid, that some publicans are coming out and saying they are going to wait a bit.
But even this looks like stuff of Mensa compared to what is going on in Trumpland.

I hope you are all staying safe....

Yesterday’s death statistics:

UK: 176

Italy: 21
France: 18
Romania: 16
Poland: 14
Sweden: 12
Germany: 9
Sweden: 8
Belgium: 7
Portugal: 3
Ireland: 2
Denmark: 1
Hungary: 1
Croatia: 1

More deaths than the rest of the EU put together (again). Yet the Treasury put out tweets encouraging people to go to the pub on Saturday...

Was fascinating to see Johnson accuse the opposition of being ‘blockers’ and ‘ditherers’ during PMQs yesterday. Did we all miss his government’s inaction in early March?

Meanwhile, in Trumpland they had 50,000 new cases in one day and now the president is ‘all for’ wearing masks.
