Has he just had his Gerald Ratner moment by trying to open his Sports Direct shops, claiming they are essential services.

Tim Martin the Wetherspoons boss is also on my "I won't forget" list. A self proclaimed expert on global pandemics:

“There’s hardly been any transmission of the virus within pubs, and I think it’s over the top to shut them. That’s a commercial view, but also a common sense view.”
“If someone offered me the opportunity now to have it under supervised conditions, I think I’d probably take it because your chances are very, very good,” he told reporters on a call on Friday.

What a clown
Has now sent an email to all staff saying they won’t be paid until the Government money arrives at the end of April. Just about every other hospitality business is continuing to pay workers. The man is a ******* parasite, Wetherspoons boycott incoming if they ever open again, which I seriously hope they don’t.

Soon got told to do one and close. Hiked up their prices too. Another rotten chapter in their storybook.

In other news, Japan finally pull the plug on the Olympics. Quite why they thought they were above the world situation is anybody's guess.

In my opinion any business man with half a brain will offer a free online delivery service and maybe a 5% donation to the NHS.....

no, people are stupid, people have short memories.
- he's a VERY good businessman, he'll be fine.
