Our Chairman confirmed that football behind closed doors simply is not viable at National League level.

Agree with Mr Azeem, it isn’t, and hopefully won’t happen! Don’t think it will tbh.

Thought he came across well.

Encouraging that he said season ticket sales are currently at the same level as last year.

Mr Azeem missed a golden chance to promote change in the National League. He stated the blinding obvious that Non league clubs will go out of business if faced to playing behind closed doors. No mention of the other side of the accounts such as cutting costs e.g. Regional league football. So I suppose we have to waste good time, to do nothing and wait for corona to take its course.

The importance of the fans in the financial equation should now be obvious to all. The fans are the primary financial contributors and always have been.

I’ve been sent a link to the interview and I’m told that the relevant part is just after 2hrs 30mins.

He was actually asked about that and replied that "everything is on the table".

Bear in mind that the interview (assuming it wasn't live) was probably edited quite heavily from its original form so he may well have said lots that was cut out.

Link worked thanks for that. It was great to hear Shahid on the radio talking about real football not fantasy football. I had a wry smile on my face when he said "its not just about 90mins on a Saturday or Tuesday...... it makes or breaks peoples weeks depending on what happens on a Saturday or Tuesday". Certainly had a few broken weeks over the last few seasons. Was good to hear about the season ticket sales. Up the Shots.
