What year did the Saturday evening pink start circulating?

Who did League Ladders?

I live nostalgia. It's just a thing io the past.
Favorite reads Pompey pink 1903 ,Newcastle pink 1895,Sheffield green un 1907 and Birmingham sports argus 1897 . All good reads on a Saturday coming back from some outpost.

Just tuned in for BMR.

Classic football action!

December 1976 - might be seeing an orange ball on snow then!

Main event: Chelsea v Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

Classic result:

East Fife 4 Forfor 5

Was that ever a real result of a game or was my Grandad winding me up ?

The one I saw this week was a Xmas special introduced by Elton John with Channon and Keegan in the studio.
All a bit odd but the football was still good and showed players I loved from that era.

The pitches were shocking and it’s amazing the quality of football still played on them.
The lack of segregation also amazes me. No wonder there were so many scraps.

I would safely guess that in the first 60 odd years of football in this country you didn’t need segregation Mick, then it all changed and after a lot of damage was done segregation was brought in!

I would like to think you’d never need segregation at a sporting event. I have never hit anyone in anger at a football match although have had to protect myself a few times.
Saying that if a Reading or Fulham fan was standing next to me and goading, i’d expect it would be difficult not to want to take a swing.

Bring back the flat cap days when it was just jolly good fun and hands were shaken at the end.

My dad would have said exactly the same as you Mick, as thousands of others would!

Can you see anyone you recognise?

Yes Moleseley gets the winner in front of their fans and ours go ballistic.
