Was hoping it would spell the end of that disgrace of an away terrace.

Planning can be a very very long game, Rosemary will be fully aware of this. The scheme was initially approved prior to the vote so I am sure it will be built eventually once further consultations and appeals are utilised.

It’s not the ground development that the council have a problem with it’s the development around it that we most definitely need to change for it to have a chance of being approved. It was a pretty resounding no from what I can gather this application failed on some very basic planning regulations and policy and it seems the vote would seem to support that.

Government employed workers in the council planning department approved the plans and elected councillors voted against it. Makes you wonder why the planning officer approved it, if as you say the plans went against the current spatial planning policy.

Why is it excellent news?
I presume you ask coz you think 2000 saying what he said was harsh, believe me they’re a lot more harsh on their forum about us than we are about them!

Doesn't matter to me what they say on their board, I'm just surprised that he was so quick to mock when there are any number of things that can go wrong with our own redevelopment plans.

We did have the slight inconvenience of a pandemic
The lease was going to be signed way before the world closed down

Hate is a strong word and quite a few of them absolutely hate Aldershot and it hasn’t gone unnoticed with me down the years!

I treat them much like i do Scotland, if they are doing well I dont mind at all and am actually quite pleased for them, but when they royally **** it up i think its hilarious.

I've got lots of friends who are cards fans & genuinely wish them well with things like this, hope it sorts itself out

They had no hope of getting that through, not enough parking for a start, how can you build 1000 flats and only supply 90 parking spaces?

Now if they drop the football ground, and build a multi storey car park there they might be in with a chance!

Yeah, wo’evaaaar! :D

Just a suggestion; next time you do a c&p say where it’s from and put “quote marks“ at the beginning and end of the piece that you’re using. 👍
