It's been great seeing footage from 30+ years back like this game and the Fulham one recently.

Anyone else find it difficult to identify our players in the PNe video with the formatting making them all look long and thin?!
Seriously? A 34 year old VHS tape and people find fault with it. It’s pink and the players look long and thin. Why do I bother!
Just an observation not criticism Dean, I thought it might be my TV distorting the image.
Loving these old videos as I said.
.
No criticism of the efforts to get this to us Deano. We are pleased to see it and commenting on what we are seeing.
I’m sure you would have been more upset if no one commented at all.
Most of us are big fans of your work so please keep them coming.
Still hopeful of the Fulham 12-11 at some point :D

I think the pitch looked awful, fortunately they weren’t around for long in the league anyway.
Though we benefited from PNE changing to a plastic pitch.

On grass:
1961/62 Lost 3-1
1974/75 Lost 3-1
1975/76 Lost 1-0
1985/86 Won 1-3

On Plastic:
1986/87 Won 1-2
1987/88 Won 0-2
1988/89 Drew 2-2
That 2-2 in 88-89 was due to a very late equaliser from someone called bogey so we came close to 4/4 at Preston

Did PNE have problems with their floodlights that winter? I went to Arsenal v Liverpool that day at Highbury, Niall Quinn debut goal!

Wasn't upset by the comments, just felt using the word "formatting" seemed to aim criticism at the edit. You can't polish a turd and all that! Im just glad to get some of these video out, certainly the last two I had never even seen myself.

Yes floodlight problems, which made it a ridiculously early start on a really cold day.

The floodlights were condemned by the Council and they were that hard up at the time they could'nt afford the repairs.
They had one game on a Tuesday afternoon which resulted in their lowest ever crowd of 768 !
This was Prestons most lowest point in their history as they had to apply for re-election at the end of the season.
