Just a heads up that Basingstoke are playing Chichester tonight in an FA Cup match at Winchester City FC. Do like early round FA Cup ties so will go along although not sure of the ticket situation currently.

I also went to the match and have to agree with others. It wasn't a classic by any means and the stoppages for the two incidents of fighting was about the only interesting thing about the game. Both sides struggled to make any headway and it was a relief to hear the final whistle, to be honest.
On the plus side, the weather was great, and it was just nice to get out and watch a match along with other people and sample a bit of atmosphere.

Faversham Town beat Eastbourne Town 6-5 on pens after a 1-1 draw.
Some decent football in the sun with a beer. Happy days.

Hi Rob, what was the spectator spacing and getting in like... Thought I might go and watch Canterbury City some time soon.
[for those who don't know Canterbury have no ground and play at Faversham, I blame the City Council.....

Alton beat Totton 6-1 tonight in the Wessex League Cup. I think the game v Dartford tonight wasn't as much fun.

Great start to this season in the proper competitions. They’ve won 4-1, 5-1 and 6-1.

Hi Bill,
Spacing was really good, I was quite happy. I don't know if you know but they had been using the playing field as a pub garden to allow maximum social distancing and gaining an income.
I can't believe Canterbury are playing at Faversham, but it is certainly a help to the club. If you do make it down, give me a shout.
Take care Bill, hope you're keeping well.

Since it's re-launch, some years ago now, Canterbury FC have not been able to find a ground or an acceptable place for one around Canterbury. Sadly I believe that the Council is made up of mainly long ball people or/those that couldn't care a toss about any sport. I'm thinking of sending a letter to The Archbishop to see if I can get a bit of devine Intervention.......
