Nice to see that Ethan scored a stoppage time winner for AFC Wimbledon yesterday in a 1-0 win away at Rochdale.

He had come on as a sub in the 87th minute and popped up with the winner a few minutes later.

O for someone to be able to score late goals for us.

So many Strikers and not one prolific. Still looking for our next Butler, Abbott or Grant.

A lovely player, think will go far with right coaching.

Really couldn't care less unless he has a sell on clause.

You've seen the contract, had direct contact with someone who has, please share?

We have such a solid record with sell on clauses. Our commercially aware Board will have covered this off.

Considering he was out of contract, we couldn't negotiate with Wimbledon. Anything to have a pop at the board though 🙄

Listen, I am often critical about performances. But why are we dragging up a load of old tosh about this player again? Well past time to move on.

Wham he signed for us nearly every fan said massive gamble and why are we signing players from lower leagues. So why on earth would we be offering such a player, a lengthy contract with add ons?

OK, he proved useful and decent player, but soon after Christmas when it was rumoured his agent touting him around League Clubs his form dipped. Nobody complained him only making Ito to bench, he was suddenly a luxury and many fans said his heart not in club but in his wallet.

He gets a league gig, now everyone has this wonderful hindsight and PRESUMED we had a sell on contract, NOBODY at the Club had said this.

Now every time he gets a goal or comes off The Wombles bench he is a world beater.

He’s gone, good luck to him. BUT isn’t it time we moved on?

His contract had expired with us, so I believe we would have got a small amount of compensation, but no right to a sell on clause. That's the danger with one year contracts I suppose.

Having said that, I can't recall a large sell on clause opportunity we've missed out on over the years. The only one that springs to mind is Aaron McLean, but that was 16 years ago! We sold him to Grays quite cheaply and a couple of years on Peterborough bought him for £150,000.

If my memory is correct, the last three players we sold for fees were; Jermaine McGlashan, Idris Kanu & Bernard Mensah. We could well of had really healthy sell on clauses negotiated within those deals, but sadly none of those three have really kicked on in their careers!

See below. This was discussed months ago, and several that seem to know, said not as he was out of contract.

Would be delighted to find out we have one in place, for his obvious imminent transfer to a stuttering Barcelona

Not Old Bob didn't. OB said seen him play at Met Police, huge potential, way too good for that level, will have no trouble stepping up.

This is not to blow my own trumpet, merely to correct the idea that it was a gamble signing him. (And yes, Jim, I did see that you wrote "nearly every fan".)

So"several seem to know" are more credible than the official out of contract annoncement?
really can't understand why you choose to peddle baseless rumours.

I haven't peddled anything by saying Apparently not to a post.

It has been discussed at length previously and there are several posters on here that clearly work / or are connected to the club that have said he was out of contract and therefore there wasnt an opportunity to a sell on clause.
That's all.
