Former players etc
Quiet day news wise so I thought that I’d post this.
Rhys Browne has joined Wealdstone from Port Vale (for family reasons apparently).

Connor Shields scored a 84th min consolation goal for Queen of the South in their 1- 3 home defeat to Dundee. The defeat kept Queen of the South rooted to the bottom of the Scottish Championship.

Gloucester City manager Paul Groves said in his post match interview that Matt McClure was taken to hospital after yesterday's game with breathing difficulties. It sounded like it was only precautionary. Let's hope so.

Following his release by Hearts, Ollie Bozanic returned to Australia and has joined A-league side Central Coast Mariners. He played the full 90 in their opening match of the season overnight, a 1-0 win against Newcastle Jets.

Back to where it all started for Ollie. He’s certainly had an interesting career, he’s actually left Australia four times to play in different countries (England, Switzerland, Japan & Scotland).chimpster99 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 1:19 pmFollowing his release by Hearts, Ollie Bozanic returned to Australia and has joined A-league side Central Coast Mariners. Central Coast was Ross McCormack's last Australian club too
Edit: it seems Dylan Ruiz-Diaz was not in the CCM squad after turning down/only being offered a scholarship deal..... crazy for a squad heavily favoured to finish bottom two.

I remember watching Conor in a pre-season friendly
And couldn't believe the pace he had.
I don't think he was given enough game time.
And we didn't play to his strengths when he did play

Re: Former players etc
Conor’s first goal was reminiscent of Bale v Barcelona having to run off the pitch to get past a defender. Don’t think he was at a National League standard but agree that we didn’t play to his biggest strength which is his pace. Did aim a lot of long balls at him probably in hope that he’d get in behind but at this level long ball just gets lapped up by the giants at the back that most teams have.
