Brilliant result, shame about the late goal but maybe that will keep the squad a bit more focused for Saturday.

Lovely to beat the TEGs, surprised they didn’t switch off the floodlights.

That feels good, time for a nightcap.

Lets all enjoy this tonite, no matter what corner we stand in COYS
Well said HT, and well done Shots. This is all any of us want!
Quite agree Harry Tom/Royston Figgis- indeed a win is all that can be asked of. Must admit I feared a mauling tonight, simply because the whole atmosphere around the club/on here etc seems very strained.

Going to enjoy a beer now. Let us hope this is the start of a confidence booster for the playing squad. I still think it may take time for attendances to get back up to what many hope/feel we should be getting.

Neil Smith on comms with Rob said that the players won that game for their manager. One game at a time as they say, but lets be honest not many of us probably predicted that win tonight.

Well done Shots- let us hope that this could be a turning point

I guess it just shows what happens when you put players in their correct positions. according to Smith Alfie was outstanding in midfield. Funny that….

Was quietly confident pre game the shots under DS seem to play well against the former "FL" sides, all bodes well for if he can figure a way to get us up. :D

Well done Shots!

This reminds me of 2012/3(?) when we were on a terrible run of form and went there and won.
And went down

Listened to the commentary and quite happy to take the word of Neil Smith who was full of praise for individual and team performances. If nothing else, let this be the result that moderates some of the language amongst the team’s harshest critics. Opinions are the essence of football but, to repeat somebody else’s mantra, kindness starts from the understanding that we ALL struggle at some time in life.

Brilliant, brilliant result and performance Shots.

Not for the first time, Danny Searle's Aldershot get a brilliant result when you really didn't expect it. Still a lot of work to do to turn things around but that's at least 3 points, a step in the right direction and something to be happy about for the rest of the week.

Well done Shots. Now let's follow it up with another win on Saturday.

We had to win at some point didn’t we, relief that we are off the mark and will enjoy the result. Still a lot to do, but it’s a start.

We’ve lost to teams in 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th, and beat one in 16th. Great to finally win, let’s not get carried away, one step at a time.

I thought he spoke a lot sense on the commentary tonight. it was good to listen to someone who has the experience of the league

Yes agree- his knowlege of the league/players is second to none. He kept telling Rob not to look at the clock. I`ll tell you when it`s stoppage time!

So a win at long last. In front of a big crowd too. What we`d give to have 5,000 at home. Now scored in last four games which is important. Never thought we`d have scored five goals in the away games at Notts Co/Southend.

Onwards & upwards. Well played tonight Aldershot

Yes you feel he would give his right arm to manager us.
Not so sure I like his ethos of the game but yesterday I would of taken him.

Let's see what happens next but the players have just rescued Danny no doubt.
Pleased for the 124. Proper fans unlike me ......atm.
