Re: 2022/23 Season Ticket Prices
You cant compare against clubs in higher leagues because the higher up the football pyramid that you go the less important the gate revenue becomes as the clubs income comes more from sponsorship, TV Money and the FA Solidarity payments. As an example Bristol Rovers that you mention received in the 2019/20 season (I cant find more recent figures) £1.2 million in Premier League funding whereas we only get about £60 thousand. For those clubs higher up the pyramid its all about large numbers rather than revenue.Surrey_Shot wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 10:41 amI'm based down in The West Country now....
Bristol Rovers just promoted to League 1 are charging £350 for an adult on their Blackthorn Terrace (equivalent to Eastbank)
FGR, also League 1 charging £306 for terracing
Cheltenham, also League 1 charging £283 for renewals & £333 for new on terracing
Ours seem incredibly expensive (albeit great that they've frozen the prices)
If you want to do ticket pricing comparisons then really it can only be done against other National League Clubs
The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

Exactly Richard, its a point that so many people forget and use to unfairly bash National league clubs with.

Re: 2022/23 Season Ticket Prices
I understand that - but even so, hard to pull in new fans when they can go and watch football at a much higher level for less mony.
Just a quick couple of searches from teams that'll still be in NL next season....
Woking
£199 if purchased in April
£219 by mid june
£329 (very high) after mid june
Eastleigh
£175 early bird / £200 after
Borehamwood
£185 renewals / £230 new applicants
Southend - £295

The standard of players we sign will depend on revenue between now and August.

I agree you can’t compare to higher leagues where they are less reliant on season ticket sales. But in comparison to what Woking are offering £199, Eastleigh’s early bird is £175 etc.Richard Petty wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 11:30 amYou cant compare against clubs in higher leagues because the higher up the football pyramid that you go the less important the gate revenue becomes as the clubs income comes more from sponsorship, TV Money and the FA Solidarity payments. I’ve no idea what kind of target the club has set itself as a sales target but I have a feeling they are going to struggle to hit it. After the season we’ve had the fans need incentive to go, £230/£10 a game would have been a good place to start and gives more flexibility to miss some games. Like myself as a shift worker I can get to the vast majority of home games so is a season ticket really worth it if I can’t make 3 or 4?

Do they? I can’t see thatSean Chambers wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 11:13 amI think the club should have had a concession for 18-21 students for the Match Day prices like they do for over 65’s and others.
They have concessions for 18-21 students on ST prices so why not on match days.![]()

Ah thank you, it doesn’t include that on the graphic they’ve circulated on all their social media accounts, just includes 18-21 in with the adult price.Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 12:13 pmOur 2022/23 Season Ticket prices, (which will also give supporters 6 games free!), are as follows:billyboy wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 12:10 pmDo they? Re: 2022/23 Season Ticket Prices
Isn't it just the graphic for the matchday pricing that the 18-21 year olds are included in Adult pricing, the graphic for season ticket tickets does show them separatelybillyboy wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 12:15 pmAh thank you, it doesn’t include that on the graphic they’ve circulated on all their social media accounts, just includes 18-21 in with the adult price.Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 12:13 pmOur 2022/23 Season Ticket prices, (which will also give supporters 6 games free!), are as follows:

Yep, me too. Will attend as often as possible as usual, but the club will lose out because I tend to miss a few. And would just say that if they dish up yet another crappy season will miss more than a few.Shots91 wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 11:17 amYeah I get that about early bird for season ticket renewals but I gave mine up last season because of financial situation over the last couple of years and didn't think it was value for money, but I thought there would of been an early bird offer for new season ticket holders like most clubs do' not Just for existing ST holders

Thought there might be a discount for booking advance tickets. Seems like we’ve missed a trick there?

Not having a pop red, just commenting on the point you suggest. By my maths & using an average gate of 1800. If say, 25% of that average got a discount of £1 by buying early, I make it the club would lose £10300 over a season.redblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 6:45 pmThought there might be a discount for booking advance tickets. Add that to those who feel the ST prices should be reduced, that seems a lot of money the club would be short at the end of the season. So it doesn’t seem good business sense to me.
I maintain that if Mark gets it pretty much right with the signings & we have a team that competes on the pitch, particularly against the money teams, the fans will support the club

I've seen a few people on social media saying there should be a discount if you buy tickets in advance online, but isn't that the only way you can buy them now? you can't pay on the day or at the gate?

Re: 2022/23 Season Ticket Prices
Pretty uninspiring stuff sadly but not unexpected.
I can't see many being sold at those prices given the season we have had and with nothing coming out of the club to suggest anything better next season.
Targeting deals for under 11s seems to me to be totally the wrong group to be targeting. They will all need to bring a parent which then ends up being a costly couple of hours.
